Teaching & Education
Raman spectroscopy is an important analytical tool that provides basic molecular spectroscopic information of materials. Since it is used in wide applications by physicists, chemists, geologists, scientists etc, and used in fields including forensics, raw material industries, pharmaceutical engineering, and antique identification. Raman spectroscopy is a fundamental technology of scientific education. Raman spectroscopy course is a part of the instrumental analysis. Portable and handheld Raman are easy-to-operate, compact size is perfect for practicing in classroom teaching, and students can learn the principle of Raman spectroscopy, how to operate Raman. The Raman system has performed an experiment in labs, teach concepts of Raman spectroscopy, spectrum scan and interpretation on a variety of materials types.
The educational Raman is equipped with a fiber optic spectrometer, Raman probe, and laser. It can be used for direct material measurement, such as liquids, tablets, solid. Raman microscope is used for microanalysis. Different shapes & sizes of samples can easily be measured with no sample pre-treatment.
The portable Raman systems employ research-grade performance. The systems are available in various wavelengths from 266nm to 1064nm, suited for fast materials identification, such as graphene, CNTs, virus, disease, and biological samples. Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) research SERS substrates and evaluate the efficiency of signal enhanced.
Portable Raman has been used by the graduates in physics, chemicals, forensics, geology, materials science, and pharmaceutical sciences etc. Graduates equipped Raman spectroscopy knowledge that will be helpful in their future work. It's convenient to identify raw material, structural analysis, forensic analysis, and QA/QC.
Optosky designs software options including spectral acquisition, spectral identification, analytical software and peak finding, rapid Raman with spectral libraries, and qualitative analysis.
