Measuring PH Value by Modular Spectrometer
As we all know, PH value is an important factor affecting water quality. However the traditional method has complicated detection process, expensive equipment and high environmental requirements. The pH value can be quickly measured by the optical fiber spectrometer and the spectroscopy method. What are the specific spectral measurement methods?
The pH sensing technology is based on the indicator molecule colorimetric method. The indicator molecules are embedded in a thin sol-gel film, which is the pH sensor patch.
When the hydrated ions (H3O+) enter or leave the membrane, the indicator molecules will change from yellow (acidic) to blue (alkaline), so that the change in pH can be observed with the naked eye.
Further use the Optosky ATP2000P to measure the color, and the precise correlation between the color and the pH value can be obtained better. Optosky recommends ATP2000P which is low-noise, high-performance, and cost-effective, combined with Deuterium Halogen lamp ATG1020H, cuvette holder ATP0080 and Optosky free software, form a complete PH detection system.
