Customer Case | GF200 Helps Build Gas Safety Intelligent Platform in Xuzhou High-Tech Zone

The GF200 Underground Pipeline Combustible Gas Leak Detector from Optosky uses laser methane detection with unique selectivity for reliable, interference-free monitoring in urban gas networks. Battery-powered with ultra-long standby (up to 60 months), it supports real-time alerts and integrates seamlessly into smart gas safety platforms.

Optosky's gas monitoring and analysis instrument series includes online, portable, and modular devices, applied in urban safety, industrial process control, environmental management, and other scenarios. In this customer case, we focus on the Xuzhou High-Tech Zone in Jiangsu Province, detailing how the GF200 Combustible Gas Leak Detector for Underground Pipelines plays a key role in the "Urban Lifeline" project.

01  Project Overview

Application Direction: Methane leak alarm, remote gas monitoring platform warning.
Urban gas pipeline networks are densely distributed and often run through inspection wells, long presenting issues such as numerous detection blind spots, slow response times, and high false alarm rates. Traditional manual inspection methods are inefficient and lack reliability in adverse weather or nighttime conditions. Some conventional monitoring equipment is susceptible to interference from dust and water vapor, leading to false alarms or missed detections, making it difficult to meet the demands of "multi-point deployment, high-frequency inspection, and all-weather operation" required for intelligent supervision.
The Xuzhou High-Tech Zone Gas Safety Intelligent Platform, adhering to the principle of "intensive construction and resource sharing," builds upon the existing gas monitoring achievements from the High-Tech Zone Safety Industry Application Demonstration Project. Following the overall framework of Jiangsu Province's Urban Lifeline Safety Construction Project, it focuses on the full-process supervision of gas safety by upgrading the gas-specific components. With a phased implementation approach, it prioritizes monitoring underground adjacent spaces of gas pipelines, pressure regulating cabinets, and boxes in densely populated areas and key zones, deepening gas safety applications through the dual approach of "comprehensive supervision + intelligent monitoring."

03  Product Introduction

Through the batch deployment of GF200 units, the project has established a "dense sensing network" covering key points such as pressure regulating cabinets, gas wells, and communication wells, providing stable, efficient, and all-weather risk perception capabilities for the entire gas system.
Currently, these devices have been deployed and are operating stably, providing strong support for the efficient operation of the Xuzhou High-Tech Zone Gas Safety Intelligent Platform. The underground space monitoring network built with GF200 enables second-level early warning response on the platform, with immediate push notifications for abnormal gas concentration fluctuations, significantly enhancing the capability to prevent gas accidents.
